The Superiority of Jesus Christ

At Loor, we are not afraid to tell you that we’re based. We know it and we want you to know that we know it. To put it as plainly as we know how, we’re confident in Jesus Christ.

At Loor, we are not afraid to tell you that we’re based. We know it and we want you to know that we know it.

It’s not pride or arrogance. It’s confidence. Confidence in a Person, not in ourselves.  A divine Person.  The God-man.

To put it as plainly as we know how, we’re confident in Jesus Christ.

He should be worshipped by all. He died for sinners, rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father, and will return.  Literally and physically.

He reigns until every enemy becomes His footstool.  Including Hollywood.  And Nashville.  And Salt Lake City.

In light of Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday coming this week, we think it is important to know this.

It’s not about a bunny, egg hunts, chocolate or those gross marshmallow baby chicks.  Or plastic grass that gets everywhere.

It’s about Jesus.  Like everything else, it’s all Jesus.

In light of this please consider this sermon preached by Dr. Stephen Yuille, Jesus is Superlative to the Angels. Dr. Yuille serves as Professor of Pastoral Theology and Spiritual Formation in the School of Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.   Prior to his service at Southwestern, Dr. Yuille was the Vice President of Academics and Academic Dean of College at Heritage Baptist College and Seminary in Cambridge, Ontario.  He is the editor and author of many books, including books on Puritans like The Works of William Perkins and is an expert on John Flavel.

The sermon is a magnificent exposition of Hebrews 1:3-4.  In it, Jesus is exalted very highly.

No King but Christ.
